Orange Shirt Day September 30th. In recognition of this day, EWG students and staff are asked to wear an orange shirt on Friday, Sept. 29th.
The Orange Shirt recognizes the harm done to generations of children by the Indian Residential Schools and is an affirmation of our commitment to ensure that every child matters.
EWG will be hosting their yearly meet the teacher and PSSC Elections on Wednesday, Sept 20th 6-7pm. There are a few vacancies on the PSSC, if any parent is interested and would like their voice heard, please attend. If you would like to know more about the PSSC please feel free to contact Greg Theriault at 523-7970 prior to the meeting.
Students will be dismissed early due to Professional Learning meetings for staff. Dismissal will take place around 11:30. Keep in mind that buses pick up at 3 schools on this day so parents/caregivers can make arrangements accordingly.
Grade 6 students will begin Tuesday, September 5th. Please bring all your school supplies that day.
A free spaghetti lunch will be provided for lunch on Tuesday. Spaghetti is the only meal served, so please bring a lunch if you choose to not have spaghetti. Students should bring a snack, as well the cafeteria will be open at break to purchase items.
Wednesday Septemebr 6th is a regular school day for all students in Grade 6-8!
EWG unveils their Wooden Bookshelf" with Charles "The Woodchuck" Bernard as lead artist. With the generous contribution from the Department of Education/Early Childhood Education and the Government of NB. EWG was the receipient of an Art Smart Grant. Each student collaborated and worked with Mr. Bernard and Mr. Dale Mundle (Lead Teacher) to produce a bookshelf with over 170 book titles of the students and staff's favorite literary creations. Many thanks to Mr. Bernard and Mr. Mundle! The bookshelf will be displayed in the atrium for public display.
Parent/Teacher meetings will take place, Thursday evening March 30th from 6-8pm and again on Friday, March 31st from 9-12pm. Students have no school on Friday.
