Parents, family and community members attended the official opening and dedication of the school's gymnasium on Wednesday, June 20th. The students and staff paid tribute to the wonderful work and dedication that went in to the expansion. Honored guests were treated to a luncheon in the atrium followed by entertainment performed by present and former students. Mr. Scully paid tribute to the Magnificent 7, Sharon McDonald, Johanne Robertson, Kim Beers, Margaret Perry, Vicki Leger, Jan Manger and Nora Wilson. Nineteen of Nora's family members were on hand to accept those tokens of appreciation. Dan Shortall, Nora's son along with Winnie and Fred Wilson (her parents)  accompanied the girls on stage, this was followed by a very emotional video tribute to Nora and the unveiling of the plaque that reads the Nora Wilson Memorial Gymnasium. It is with great pride EWG Middle School continues to keep Nora's memory at the forefront.
