EWG Wrestling Team Celebrates Success

Posted: June 2, 2010

The Eleanor Graham Wrestling team recently celebrated a very successful  season of wrestling. They competed in six tournaments this year; five in N.B. and one in PEI. These include the Provincial Championships in Lewisville; the Atlantic Championships in Bathurst; The Rexton Open; The St Stephen Invitational; and the Canada East National Wrestling Festival in St. Stephen, with three hundred wrestlers from the six eastern provinces competing for the Canada East Title. This event is the largest youth wrestling tournament held in Canada each year.   Eleanor Graham Middle School  won the Bantam division in both boys and girls for all the above mentioned tournamnets except the Canada East Championship where they finished second to Mariposa Wrestling Club of Ontario in both divisions.   Congratulations to all participants and good luck with the Bonar Law Bengals wrestling team next year!   Kneeling lft to rt.
