Starting January 27 through until February 9th the EWG Middle School will play host to the Wood Chuck. Through the Department of Wellness, Culture and Sports Arts Development Branch an application was approved to have Chuck Bernard come into EWG and work with the students to develop their own personal carvings with a cultural theme. Each student in grades 6-8 will receive two hours of instruction and have the opportunity to use carving tools to create their own design. On Jan. 27th and 28th the woodcarver will be set up in the Cultural Center displaying his creations and carving. Parents are encouraged to drop in and see Mr. Bernard in action, the students will also get a chance to see firsthandwhat they will be doing before getting down to their projects.
