“STUDENT/PARENT ACCESS TO SCHOOLS”

On May 4th students, parents and/or guardians will be permitted access to retrieve personal items from schools.  A plan has been developed in which most parents/students will not have to enter the school. All students or parents who do access the school will ensure they are following the screening protocols that will be posted at the building access points.  In all cases, physical distancing protocols (2m/6 ft from another person) must be observed.

This week, EWG school staff will package all students’ personal belongings in bags that will be labeled with the student’s name. Parents will pick the bags up at the front door at the time listed on the schedule.

 Parents and students are not required to wear a mask if physical distance is maintained; however, it is strongly recommended that people wear a mask in public settings. Hand sanitizer will be available at entrance and exit points and must be used by anyone entering or leaving the school. Parents and students will collect belongings in a timely manner and not be actively involved in socializing.  Parents may use the “student drop off” and “school bus” loops to facilitate faster access to the main doors.

The schedule for EWG is as follows:

On Monday, May 4.

Grade 6, 9:00am -11:00 am

Grade 7, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Grade 8, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Parents with more than one child attending EWG will not have to come twice, and may choose which timeframe suits them the best.
