SUBJECT: Vaccination for grade 7 students for the second dose of the vaccine against the human papillomavirus-HPV (Gardasil-9)

Immunization remains an essential service for the health and well-being of children, even during this time of COVID-19 pandemic. Public Health continues to immunize children while ensuring that measures are in place for preventing the spread of infection. If your child received the first dose of HPV vaccine last fall in school, a Public Health nurse will contact you to book an appointment for him/her to receive the second dose at the Public Health Office in Richibucto. This dose will complete the HPV vaccination series.
