Students of EWG or surrounding schools who are 12 years of age or will be very soon have the opportunity to take part in the St. John Ambulance Babysitting course over the March Break. The course is scheduled for Wed. March 5th from 8:30-4pm at a cost of $40/student. The students of EWG Middle are very fortunate to have been awarded an additional $1100 from Breakfast for Learning! This money will enhance our already existing Breakfast Program and allow us to provide more fruits/vegetables and dairy products. A huge thank you to President's Choice Children's Charity for this supplemental grant!
We are very excited to announce that the Cartier Foundation has generously donated $5000 towards the development of a multi-sensory room at E.W.G. This will allow the Methods and Resource Department to proceed with their plans to have a room available not only to the students of the Rexton area but to all those in need of using such a facility in Kent County. We are currently working on other means of financial support with the goal of reaching $14,000 upon completion.
Reminder to parents and students that classes will resume again on Tuesday, Jan 7th. Staff will be involved in Professional Development activities on Monday.
Just a reminder that the cafeteria is holding its Annual Free Turkey Dinner on Tuesday, Dec. 17th. This is the only meal being served that day so if you usually purchase your lunch and you do not like turkey dinner, make sure you bring a bagged lunch. Thank you to the cafeteria staff for making this possible and providing a free dinner for all the students and staff.
This is the last week for our school food drive. If you would like to bring in a non-perishable food item and fill out a ballot, the food bank is looking for donations of pasta, cereal, canned goods, lunchcan items or anything you wish to donate!

The session is presented by CoachNB and will be facilitated by Natasha McLaughlin-Chiasson. Please find attached more information on presenter and session.
