On Tuesday, December 18th, the EWG cafeteria will be serving turkey dinner plus all the trimmings, with drink and dessert. This meal is served as a regular menu item to students and staff of EWG. Because of the extra time and costs associated with this meal, students and staff are asked to purchase their meals ahead of time at a cost of $6.00 due by Thursday, November 29th.
5 EWG students had the opportuntily to audition for the play, Nounours. This was written by Francine Hebert and made possible with the assistance from ASD-N Community Schools, the Kent Family Resource Center, Dept. of Education and Early Childhood Development and le pays de la Sagouine. In the play Nounours losing his tongue and the children have to teach him to talk again. This was performed before a live audience to over 700 teachers, students and educators. The seeds of literacy were sewn! Congrats to Kaylah El-Khoury, Hailey Cail, Dixon Clair, Danielle Campbell and Hailey Francis!
#Takemeoutsideday at EWG was a success! The students took part in a scavenger hunt, explored the woods for different types of trees and leaves and discussed the importance of nature and our well being.
Students and staff are walking Friday, Oct 5th in support of the Terry Fox Foundations, cure for cancer. Please get your pledge sheets back by tomorrow morning to your homeroom teacher or Mrs. Lawson in the office!
